This Autumn Delight necklace tutorial from the Bead Doctor brings all the shades of the season together in one sparkling necklace
Step 1: Gather materials
Find a list of everything you will need below.

Step 2: Add the clasp
Cut three lengths of chain so that you have the following links remaining in each length:
178 (1), 183 (2) and 190 (3).
Use 5mm jump rings to attach each of the chains in size order with the smallest first to the round bar clasp and attach the second half of the clasp in the same way.
Step 3: Add beaded headpin
Thread a 4mm bead onto a headpin and pass through the 26th link of chain 1,
(alternate the colours of the beads as you go) add a 6mm bead,
pass through the 26th link of chain 2, add another 6mm bead and pass through the 27th link of chain 3.
Add an 8mm bead, trim the eyepin 1cm above the bead, and bend into a loop to close.
Step 4: Continue adding beaded headpins
Add the second beaded headpin in the same way as step 1 into the third link along from the first beaded headpin.
Add another into the third link from the second beaded headpin.
Step 5: Watch the spacing
Add another headpin in the same way starting in the 54th link of chain 1, the 54th link of chain 2 and the 56th link of chain 3.
Add the second beaded headpin into the second chain link along from the first beaded headpin on chain one, but into the third links in chains 2 and 3.
Add another into the third link from the second beaded headpin.
Step 6: A section of headpins
Add another headpin in the same way starting in the 71st link of chain 1, the 72nd link of chain 2 and the 76th link of chain 3.
Continue to add headpins into every third link until you have a section of thirteen headpins.
Step 7: A section of headpins
Add the last two beaded sections to mirror the first half of the necklace.
Thread a 4mm bead onto a headpin, trim 1cm above the bead and add to the bottom loop of a beaded headpin. Repeat to add one to each of the beaded headpins.

Hello all, I am very excited this week, as I have just been accepted as a guest artist at The Hay Craft Company shop in Hay on Wye. Some of my solid silver jewellery will be on sale there. I trained in silversmithing, so it has been nice to have a little dabble again in between my Bead Barmy projects.
You will be glad to know that I have still had time to put together a brand new tutorial for Bead Barmy. I am still feeling autumnal so I have reflected this in a fancy necklace using a multitude of autumn shades. I think this piece would work well in these colours even over the Christmas season. However, if you wanted to, you could just as well change the colours for bright reds or greens. Or how about monochrome beads and silver chain for a totally different look? Whatever you decide, I hope you have fun making it! Now, back to my hammering……

I love Winter, as you can use most colours this time of year, Sparkles for the xmas parties, Lovely rich deep colours for any occasion and light pastel colours mixed with the other two to make truely unique pieces
I love Autumn. There is a softness and romance in the season as things slow down, ready for the sleep of winter. It is the season of abundance, and the colours are the finest – see the golds and russets sparkle in an early dawn and you cannot fail to be inspired to try to recreate that.
Summer – it’s lovely to wake up when it’s bright (even if it’s unfortunately not as warm as we’d like it to be!) and then you can sit outside in the evening and have a drink when it’s still light. I would wear a lovely necklace like this all year round as the colours warm you up in Autumn/Winter, yet look lovely in Spring/Summer when the brighter days are upon us, especially if we are lucky enough to get a bit of a tan (or apply some fake stuff!).
Colourwise is has to be Autumn, beautiful leaves in a miriad colours, sunsets to die for, bright autumn sunshine, beautiful skies in ranges from Azure blue to thundery dark blues and greys, stark shapes of naked trees and beautiful textures of barks, and beautiful harvests of fruits, grains and vegetables in wonderful shapes and colours, so much to enjoy and inspire
