Beads Unlimited trade accounts – what are they and should you have one?
Our warehouse is never dull!
Before we had even thought about trade accounts, there was a time when many of our customers, particularly those who were new to us, didn’t realise that our wholesale prices were available to them. More often than not they assumed that those prices were for our big spenders, people with shops of their own to stock rather than people who just fancied making a new pair of earrings. They were generally rather pleased to discover the bargains to be had once they got around to asking about it!
On the other side of the coin, we’ve always had customers who spend a fortune and customers who barely cover our minimum order (£5) and we’re very pleased about it. The world would be a very dull place if everyone was the same and our mail order department would be a very dull place if every order was the same! There are many words I could use to describe our mail order department but thankfully, dull is not one of them. So, how to keep everyone happy?
Fair trade
We now have a separate website just for trade customers – prices are shown without VAT and with a generous 10-20% discount. All of our regular lines are available of course but here you’ll also find our exclusive retail section, home to our merchandising units and packeted range. This is a large selection of our best selling beads, threads and findings, packed for re-sale with branded packaging and barcode as seen in out of town superstores and high street multiples as well as leading independents.
Credit terms are available, subject to status (and a very small amount of form filling). The minimum trade order is just £50, UK postage is free and goods are despatched within two working days of receipt. Perhaps our most valuable asset though is our retailers’ advisor – we’ve been in business since 1986 and what she doesn’t know about selling beads isn’t worth knowing! If you need any help with construction techniques, choosing stock, pricing or display then please just ask.
How do I become a trade customer?
What about the small print? Well actually there isn’t much, to become a trade customer you don’t need headed notepaper, a VAT number or any kind of reference. We’d just like you to spend upwards of £1,000 a year with us and place an initial pre-paid order of at least £100.
