There were squeals of excitement the other day when we found out that we had been nominated in the best beading blog category in the Make Jewellery awards.

As you probably know we really do spend a lot of time and effort making Bead Barmy beautiful and informative and it is lovely to have this recognised. We have come a long way since Bead Barmy first went live in 2009 with what started out as a little experiment.
Since then, it has been a labour of love for all of us. It is a joy to see that the blog has grown and become a thriving, friendly community where we show you the latest news, tutorials and giveaways and where your work gets showcased and you can have your say!

We have also been nominated in the ‘Best Jewellery Making Kits’ category which also has us over the moon! The lady responsible for all those gorgeous kits and projects is our very own Bead Doctor, Gemma.
